35 Weeks

So today marks 35 weeks. Only 5 left...more or less I suppose. I got a gift from someone and went shopping with it yesterday! It was fun to get more baby things. This past weekend we went to the Portland City Fest...it was put on by Luis Palau and it had a bunch of Christian artists singing and doing other things. We just went to the concerts. The first day/night we stood the whole time, and I was really tired so my aunt and I left early and went to our hotel room that was right across the street. We could still hear the music, so it was still cool. The second day/night we brought our blankets over and were able to sit down for most of the day until the people started performing, then we could go closer to the stage or stand up and listen if we wanted. It was much better the second day! I broke down and bought an artists t-shirt because it was really cool, but it cost $25!!! Ouch to my wallet!

The baby is doing well. She continues to move and roll around making me uncomfortable a lot of the time. I kind of like it when she has her body really pushed out and I can rub my belly and feel her. I wonder if it will help our bond when she comes out because I am already rubbing her back and trying to comfort/play with her. Maybe I'm just weird and think that it will help or do something when it really doesn't. I have heard of people poking back at their babies when they kick or whatever, and then the baby kicks back. So it is like they are playing. Well, she doesn't do that with me. On a different sort of humorous note, I wonder if she is going to be deaf because Paislie likes to bark at me when she doesn't get her way.

My poor baby inside has to listen to the high pitch of Paislie's bark...and it is usually close to my belly because Paislie thinks that the more she is in my face the more I will care that she is barking. Silly dog. Right now Paislie wants to go outside to sniff around, but I am not letting her because I am writing this. She is pouting and really wanting her way so every few minutes she comes to me and barks or looks at me with a sad face. But, she has to learn that she can't have her way whenever she wants. We are always talking and learning about Patience and how it is a virtue. I don't think she fully understands the concept all of the time...haha.

34 Weeks

Well, can this pregnancy be over yet? She is growing and has less room thus making me more uncomfortable. How rude, right? haha. At least the weather hasn't been too bad. And, I have been having fun watching her move and making my belly contort to different shapes. I have my next appt on Tuesday and then I think I start seeing the Dr every week. It is weird to think that I have just a little over a month left. I wonder more often what she is going to look like. I have been getting a little heartburn every night as I am laying down for bed...I wonder if she is going to have hair!? That's the old wives tale...heartburn=hair. But I haven't had it that bad, so I am thinkful for that. Tums usually helps when I take it, so we bought a bottle of tums a month ago or so. I have to keep reminding myself that patience is a virtue! I am so excited to meet her and hold her and tell you all her name!

My cousin and his wife just had their baby yesterday, so I went and saw them in the hospital. I took a couple of pictures, so I will have to put those on here soon...I need to find the right cord though, it seems to be missing at the moment. They had a daughter and she is so cute! She really didn't want to come out and meet us all though because she was a week late, and when they induced my cousins wife, she still took forever to come out! But they are both doing well and enjoying life. It was so nice to hold her and to look at her and imagine what I will have shortly. Babies are coming to this world all over the place! Jared and I have some friend who are due the 26th (I believe), so hopefully I can post her birth on here soon! They are having a girl too, so our daughter will have lots of friends and family close in age! My other cousin's wife is due in a couple of weeks but they live in Texas now, so I won't be able to see them :(. And, they are having a girl too! I am just so excited for everyone!

Cooling Down!

Ahh, the weather is finally 'normal' again. I feel so much better today because it is cooler and pleasant. I think Paislie feels better too. I can't imagine being full term and pregnant with no A/C during the past few days. My cousins wife was due last Wednesday and didn't go into labor, so that means she was probably suffering during the heat. I am not sure if they have any sort of A/C...hopefully they did. Another friend of ours is a couple weeks away from being due, but she has an A/C unit in her house, so I think she faired well...at least that's what she told me! I am glad that she is doing well.

I am so excited to meet all of these new babies! Especially mine :). She is moving around a lot the past few days...it gets uncomfortable most of the time. She is running out of room, so she is trying to make the best of what she has. Ugh, doesn't she know I'm renting out my body to her? She should be nicer! Hahaha. She can stay inside as long as she needs to keep baking...but not too long! I can't wait to see what she looks like. Will she have dark hair? Light hair? Any hair?! What color will her eyes be? Will she look more like me or Jared? Only a little longer til my questions are answered. Ugh, I'm getting anxious!

33 Weeks

Well everything is going well. I had a Doctor's appointment yesterday and she said that everything looked like it was going fine. I am measuring around where I should be and she said that the baby is head down. I guess we will see if she stays head down for the remainder of the pregnancy! Hopefully she does. My Doctor actually said that her head was pretty far down...so she must be comfortable down there. I have one more appointment two weeks away and then I go in every week! I can defintely tell that she is getting bigger because my belly is growing and when she moves, my belly moves. It has been like that for a while now, but it is getting more pronounced.

Does anyone want to buy us an A/C unit or something like that for our house?! Haha...it is hot and getting hotter! I sit outside with Paislie when she is going to the bathroom and within a few minutes I am sweating and really hot. I wish we weren't coped up inside, but it is better than being out in the sun. I think I might need to take a trip to a store where there is A/C.

Dear Lord...

Please keep my baby and the babies of my friends safe. I pray that you keep the babies safe of the women who I talk to online. I put my trust in you that you know what to do in every situation and know what you have planned for our lives and the lives of our children. Thank you for the blessing that you have already given to me and my friends. In you all things are possible!

Within the past week there have been 2 babies who have died due to placenta abruption. One mom was haeding in to be induced the day after her due date and it turned out that her placenta abrupted the night before (it wasn't a huge tear and she didn't feel anything) and she delivered a stillborn. So that means the baby was full term. The other mom felt the abruption and went in to the hospital right away. They delivered the baby who was then on a respirator but wasn't able to survive off of the respirator and died when they took him off. She was 36 weeks along and the baby was 7.5 lbs. The mothers must be devastated to carry a baby for so long only to have them die. However, God knows what he is doing and now those babies are with Him. I pray for those women who have lost their precious babies. Not only women who have lost full term babies, but women who have lost babies early in their pregnancy. God's timing is wonderful and powerful.

Have faith that He knows exactly what He is doing and why. His reasonings warrant no questions from us.

32 Weeks

Not much new going on from the last post. I am getting more uncomfortable and my dog is driving me crazy half the time. My back seems to be bothering me more lately, but it isn't too bad. She seems to be sleeping more today or has found a comfortable position because she's not moving as much today. I want to go swimming or something. It is hot outside and it would be fun to relax at a lake or something. Well, I don't think there is much more to say.

Here's a couple pics that Jared took last night.

So hot...

It is sooo hot outside! Jared and I went for an extra drive around Molalla this evening so that we could be in our air conditioned car...and we went to Bi Mart because it is air conditioned. It is 8:30 and still 85 degrees outside. So disgusting! Paislie is also really hot. We gave her extra ice cubes today and even put some in her water...it's kinda funny watching her try to get them out. She has also been sitting down in front of the fans, so that is funny too.

I know that everyone says I don't look that big as far as being 8 months pregnant, but I feel big. Like I can't stretch anymore...but I know that I will! I think she has gone through another growth spurt, so maybe she is just out of room until I grow more too. She was moving around so much today, and I was getting mad! Haha. Today was just so uncomfortable because she was moving around and it was so hot. Tomorrow I am 32 weeks, so that is cool. Time seems to be going by a little faster because I have been able to keep a little busier the past week. I hope no one else is melting like I am. We really should've gotten an air conditioner!!!
