Haha. So I had another appt today to continue to make sure my blood pressure was okay. It was perfectly normal today, so no worries in that area. My Dr said that I was a full 2cm dilated, 90% effaced and her head is at a +1 station. So she only has 2 more stations to move down and for me to be fully dilated and effaced before she can come out. I am so close it's not even funny. She asked if I wanted to have my membranes stripped and I said yes...so hopefully she did that. My exam was a little more uncomfortable than usual but not that painful, so I am hoping she did strip the membranes. So, I get to see Jared tomorrow!! He is driving down for the weekend :) Hopefully I get to go home with him this weekend!!!

39 Weeks
So I am still pregnant! I don't know what she is waiting for. I know I am still a week away from my due date, but contracting for a whole week isn't my idea of fun stuff. I had another Dr appointment today. She told me I was about 2 cm dilated. I am assuming I am just about 100% effaced, and her head is very very low at the zero position. My Dr is pretty much astonished that I am still pregnant. My blood pressure is a tiny bit elevated this week, so she is keeping an eye on that. She had me get my blood drawn to do some tests to make sure that nothing is wrong with me in that way...which could be why my blood pressure is higher.
I have been contracting more the past couple of days. Over the weekend I really didn't contract that much, but I have had contractions since last Tuesday night. So that is a week of early labor...Some contractions have been very very strong and some are just annoying and not too bad. It doesn't seem like she would be having very much fun in there if I am contracting so much...so why is she wanting to stay in there!!!??? She can come out at any time. Really, it would be okay. Please pray for us. I know she will come when she is supposed to, but it is hard to go through all of this. I am getting enough sleep, but I still feel tired and out of it most of the time. Okay, that's enough complaining I guess.

Lalala
So I am still pregnant...to be expected by most I suppose since my due date is another week and a half away. But I have had a lot of conractions over the past few days, some days have been worse than others. Still, no dilation progression since Wednesday. I was very very active yesterday, and I have paid for it today. I took a short walk with my niece and nephew (the last 100 ft or so we raced home, so yes that means I 'ran' for a little bit!), we threw a nerf football around outside, and Jared and I went bowling (2 games) and mini golfing with my aunt and uncle. Today, I went for a walk with my aunt and cousin and my other uncles girlfriend. I was so sore last night during bowling and golf because she is moving really low and those activities made the pressure below even worse. So today I have been slow to get up and slow to move. We went for a fast walk today though because I read it was better to fast walk if you are going to do that to move the baby lower. I seriously don't know if she could be any lower right now without coming out...haha.
I lost a ton more of my mucus last night when I woke up to use the bathroom, and lost a lot more periodically today too. I have another appointment tomorrow, so hopefully my Dr will tell me I am dilated more! I know she will come when she is ready, but she has been teasing me for the past few days...not fun! I am just excited to meet her I guess:)Will put a new belly picture up later tonight when I get on my other computer!

Still Pregnant
So I am still contracting every few minutes. I had my Dr appointment today, and I am still dilated 1.5 cm, but I think she said the head was lower. She was saying that the contractions I am having so far are porbably just helping move her down and hopefully next should be dilating more! I walked a lot today and that made contractions worse, so that's good! I also lost most of my mucus plug last night and a tiny bit more this morning. So I am having signs of progression and now all I need is progression!

38 weeks and...
Last night after dinner I started having a lot of pain. Talked to my doula friend Caylan who advised me of some things to try and relieve pain, or see if it would stop, and it wouldn't. So I talked to Jared and we decided to go the hospital near where we live. I also called and talked to the On-call Dr and she thought it was a good idea to at least get checked.
So I went and got checked. I was contracting about every 2 minutes and was 1 cm 75% effaced. When I first got to the hospital, I was in constant pain that finally turned into separate contractions that I could feel by the time I left. I didn't dilate anymore while I was there, so I went on home still contracting and very tired! It was past my bedtime :). I was able to sleep for about 3 hours until I woke up to pee...then I couldn't go back to sleep because of the contractions. They were still a few minutes apart, but a little stronger then when I went to sleep.
So after Jared woke up, we decided it would be a good idea to drive down to Eugene and see my Dr and for me to stay down there until I deliver. I called the Dr on the way down and she wanted me to come in as soon as we got to Eugene to get checked again. So as of 10:00 I am 1.5 cm dilated, very very thin and soft and the head is very very low. I am still contracting regularly. She says I am in early labor and because it is my first it is just taking longer to progress...but she thinks it will be within the next day or so that she is here!
So I will rest a little bit if I can at my dad's, then go walking and whatever else might help! Exciting!

My cousin and his wife finally had their baby!
So Robby and Melina have finally had Lilly! She was a week overdue...I don't know the details of everything. I do know that Lilly was 19.5 inches long (short for our family haha)and 9.9 lbs!!! So she is very healthy (I hope Melina did okay!). Here is the pic that was sent to me on my phone...She was born last night at 11:38.

Nursery Pictures and Belly Picture
Jared took another pic of me the other night, so you all can see how my belly is expanding...slowly but surely. I also have been working slowly on the nursery. I finished the artwork today and put that up. I also bought some shelves and put those up. I still haven't gotten the new curtain rod, so that is next.

Something Sweet
I want something sweet to eat. I don't know what, and I don't want to eat sugary foods, but it sounds really good. I am eating food and getting full, but it doesn't seem satisfying. Does anyone know what I am talking about?!
Ugh, and I am bored too. I have bought some things to decorate the baby room, so I have put a couple things up. I need to take back the curtain rod I bought because it was too short. Dang it! I did buy shelves and a couple other things to put on the wall though. I need to put some of them up still. I also thought it would be a good idea to do some of my own paintings. I already had some canvases, so I went and bought some paint and started painting last night. I hope they turn out okay. I'm really not that great of an artist. I drew what I wanted them to look like on a peice of paper, and now I need to try and get them to look good with paint.
I also want to clean the whole house and have everything ready so I don't have to worry about the house being messy if I go into labor today or tomorrow...etc.

37 Weeks
This week has been going good. She has dropped more than before...or just is taking a liking to a different position in there. My bones feel like they will be ripped apart at any moment sometimes. I have also had more of an appetite lately...another sign to me that she has dropped. I don't think the appetite thing is good though...don't want to eat too much at this point in the 'game'! It's been funny going to different stages of pregnancy...once one gets 'comfortable' or familiar, it changes into something less comfortable and more miserable. I don't think that it will get any better from this point either!
It is weird to think that I am only 3 weeks away from my due date. It is slightly scary that I could have her at any moment...well go into labor at any moment. I wonder when she will decide to come meet everyone. There is a full moon this weekend. A lot of people think it has some sort of power over women going into labor...probably with the change in gravity. The moon doesn't have a strong gravitational pull compared to the Earth, but it does make things change a little bit. Wouldn't it be crazy if I did go into labor that day?!

New Pic
So Jared disliked our picture that we took on our anniversary...even though I think it looked fine! He thought his face looked fat in the other picture...isn't that something a girl would say? So he suggested that I put the picture on here that was taken a couple weeks ago at the Luis Palau Portland City Fest. My aunt took it on her cell phone at night...so it turned out pretty good for the way it was taken. You can definitely tell it has been a long, hot day though!

36 week appt and pic
My appointment went really well. She is still head down, so that is good! My measurements and blood pressure were good. I tested Group B Strep negative so that is awesome! Everything was normal and good. I scheduled all of my next appointments for the next month, so that was really exciting. Starting next week she will check if I am dilating or not. Jared took a picture of me last night, so here ya go!

36 Weeks
I want to be done. Emotions are at an all time high, and I am really frustrated with it all. I wish I actually had some friends...who live close I guess. I am lonely and I don't know what to do during the day. Paislie is not being very good this week, so she is driving me crazy. Does anyone want her? I don't think I have ever gotten the 'nesting bug' that a lot of pregnant people get. I don't have a lot of motivation to do anything. The baby room is pretty much done. I want to put up the curtains I have, but I need to get a rod to put them on, and I haven't found one that will look good. I am also thinking that I want to get some shelves for the walls and maybe some other things, but I have no idea what else I need or want.
On a good note, our friends had their baby on Sunday! She is really cute and I get to see her tomorrow when I go to Eugene. Her name is Kara Joy and I am really excited to meet her! Yay for all the babies being born!
