No sleep + hot weather = fried brain

So, I talked in my last post about the Strawberry Festival this weekend...well I woke up this morning and realized it is next weekend! Good thing I didn't drive down there for nothing! Just thought I would add in this disclaimer about me being wrong :)!

Teeth and such

AHHHHHH!!!! I want to pull all my hair out and then sleep for the next day! Keila got 2 new teeth the other day, and life is not fun. They are on the top, but not the middle two teeth! She looks like she could be a vampire (but her teeth aren't sharp). So, I am not sure if she will get 2 or 4 more teeth in the middle of those ones, I think 4 more though. There seems to be enough room for 4 more anyway. So, because she has been teething she has been cranky. She slept more than average on Monday, probably getting ready for it, and it was sooooooo nice! Then Tuesday came, and crankiness came with it. I gave her pain relief meds, and didn't check her mouth until night time...that's when I found the teeth. She hasn't taken many naps, and when she has (since Monday) they have been very short.

She has also not been going back to sleep after she wakes up at 6:30am...normally we both go back to sleep until 8:30ish. That means we are both very very tired!!! I think it is too light in our room (we get the morning light in our room) in the morning for her to go back to sleep. She thinks it is time to play! Not me though, I could definitely go back to sleep, and I try to!!! I am going to buy some curtains this weekend I decided. I have a rod, so now I just need curtains to go with the blinds to make it dark in our room! I think Target has a sale going on right now, so I may have to go check them out tomorrow on my way home from Lebanon.

Oh yes! On a good note, I am going to the Strawberry Festival Parade!! I haven't been for a really long time, so I thought it would be fun to go with Keila! My grandparents always go (I think), so we are going with them, and my dad is going too. Jared can't because he has a basketball camp thing going on. I can't wait to see how silly my rememberances of the parade are. I was probably in elementary school the last time I saw it, and I was in middle school the last time I went to the carnival/fair thing.

I will try to post some pictures of Keila's teeth...if I can ever get a good picture of them. So far when she smiles you can't see any of her teeth (even though she has 5 now!)

Seattle for the weekend!

Jared, my dad, and I (and Keila!) are going to Seattle tomorrow! We are going to watch some baseball games and visit/stay with my Uncle. It will be fun to get away and visit my family. I think we might go to downtown Seattle on Saturday afternoon, so that should be fun! I hope Keila does well at the games!

My good friend Caylan had her 2nd daughter today!!! Welcome to the world Adah'Jane!! I can't wait to meet her :)

Super nice!

Ahh, the weather is amazing! I went garage sale-ing today with Keila and a friend. It was a huuuge neighborhood sale, but I didn't see too much that I wanted. I saw one awesome desk, but it ended up not being for sale...DARN! I can tell Keila is not liking the warmer weather...she hasn't taken much of a nap the past 2 days! She hasn't been too grouchy though, so it hasn't been too bad. She will play on the floor for a long time by herself. I am thinking about just puting her in her crib and letting her cry if she wakes up, but it is sooo hot upstairs in her room, and her room faces west so the sun is shining in it pretty much all day. I have a feeling this spring and summer is going to be hard because it is so light for so long and her room has the heat of the day right on it.

Keila has been so funny lately. She is looking for everything and anything to grab within her reach and gets mad if I take something away that she really wants (tv remotes). She is rolling over more and seems like she is starting to understand a little bit about moving her legs and feet to try and crawl...but pretty much not even close to doing it! We are best buds, and I love it! Oh, she is also starting her process of weaning...she decided that drinking formula from a bottle was okay after I decided to try it (I was trying to give her a bottle of my milk, but she wouldn't take it.) So, that makes me soooo happy! She can be babysat and fed while we are away! Woo Hoooooooooo!!!

Randoms

Keila is trying new things...such as: trying to reach farther for items near her (sometimes falling over to get them), rolling over more and more, talking like it is oing out of style, shaking her head, crying/whining when not held (but not all the time), and many more. She makes me feel lucky and fortunate everyday. I wonder when it will be time to have another baby...Not any time soon. I think I want to wait a little longer than I was first thinking. Instead of trying this summer/fall, I think I want to wait until next summer. Keila is just way too much fun to want to interrupt anything. I want to give her all the love and attention I can, and if I get sick and lathargic during my next pregnancy like I did with her, than I know it will be really hard!

My first Mother's Day is Sunday!! Crazy that I now get to be recognized and thanked for being a mom and birthing Keila...I think I deserve it!! And so do all of my girl friends who are mothers...Good job Mommies!
