1 month

Brycen is a month old! Crazy crazy. He is doing great. I need to weigh him today. He is getting so big! He isn't super chunky like Keila was, but he is filling out a little. He's just so much bigger than she was...which I was kind of expecting since he is a boy. He is already wearing 3 month clothes...in some stuff anyway..not everything 3 months size fits him. He's too skinny for the pants, lol. Some onesies that are longer still fit him too. He is definitely wearing 0-3 and 3 month stuff though. It is kind of sad how fast he is growing, but I'm not sad enough to want another newborn! lol. He is such a smiley good baby. He still grunts a lot, but it is getting better. He mainly does it when he is trying to poop or he still has gas in his tummy because he wouldn't burp. He's not that great of a burper, but it is getting better. Luckily he hasn't really had a lot of spit up problems. I need to look up when babies can smile knowingly...he has done a ton of smiling, but I know pretty much all of it has just been muscle movement. But the other day, he wasn't smiling and then I started talking to him and smiled at him and he smiled back. It was either perfect timing or his first real smile. He is sleeping pretty well at night...during the day eats around every 2-3 hours. At night eats around every 2-4 hours. I love those 4 hour stretches!!

Keila is doing amazing. She loves her brother and tries to pick him up whenever she can. I have to watch her closely! She is talking more and more. You can tell she loves to listen and watch things because then she starts saying different things or doing different things that I never directly taught her. My favorite thing she is saying now is "I see you". So we go around a lot during the day saying "I see you!" She thinks it is pretty funny. She has done wonderfully with the daylight savings time change...we started changing things a couple days ahead of time, so maybe that helped. She has gone through a scream and kick during diaper change in the past couple weeks, and seems to be over that now. I think she is showing more and more interest in potty training, but hasn't actually gone pee on it yet...which is frustrating because she wants to stay naked after sitting on her toilet. I bought her some panties that were on clearance for when we really start with things. How exciting!

There are supposed to be snow storms or whatever over the next couple days...it just snowed for about 10 minutes! Keila saw it and wanted to go outside. The snow was a lot different than what I am used to...they were tiny flakes that flew around in the air...not all of them went directly to the ground. I am not looking forward to a snowy winter!!!

Brycen Paul

So Brycen paul arrived on 10/8/10! I had my 40 week appt on Thursday the 7th and at that point I was 4cm. The previous 2 weeks I was 1-2cm, so it was awesome to know that I had progressed, but annoying to know that I was 4cm and not in active labor contracting yet!! The midwife went ahead and stripped my membranes and informed me she thought I would be back that night. So I had some contractions during the day...maybe 1 or 2 an hour but they weren't that bad. At about 7:40 I noticed that I had had 3 or 4 pretty consistently...if I had to guess maybe 10-15 minutes apart. So I decided to watch the clock and for the next 20 minutes I had 4 contractions. Yay!! Then for the next hour I decided to time them using an online clock and they were kind of spread out a little in the beginning (a couple 10 mins, some 6-7 mins, a lot of 5 mins, and then the last few were 3 mins). I decided to go ahead and head up to bed with Jared but call my midwife first to make a plan. At first we decided that I would call when they started to feel worse because they weren't that bad of contractions just close together. When I got off the phone with her though (I only had 1 small contraction while on the phone with her over a 10 min time period) the contractions picked way up and were really intense. So I had to have Jared call back and say we were going to head in. It was about 10:15pm when we left the house.
When we got there, we got situated in the room and they took my vitals and pretty much just left us to labor by ourselves...but offered to help if I wanted anything. They came back a whole bunch to do vitals but took 4 hours to actually check where I was with dilation. So at about 2:30am they checked and I was 7cm! I could definitely tell that I was in transition because the contractions were getting a lot stronger and I was feeling a lot of pressure. My water still hadn't broken by this time but she said it was bulging. I had already tried positions to get the water to break, but I went ahead and tried them again because I felt that if the water broke the contractions wouldn't be as hard and maybe I would progress faster. By 4:30ish they came and decided to go ahead and check me again. I was telling them how I felt about maybe breaking my water because of the intense pressure I felt from each contraction. When they checked I was 9cm and pretty much at my request decided to go ahead and break the water bag. First she tried just with her finger because that usually works, but it didn't with me. So then they grabbed the hook and broke it...it was relieving and painful all at the same time! lol. She said that breaking the water helped me dilate to 10cm (pretty much). I laid for a little bit on my right side and did some breathing/slight pushing through the contractions to help get his head down and get completely dilated. Then I had to move to the left side to do the same thing for a couple contractions. Since the laying down position was soooo uncomfortable to me, I changed positions to squatting. While getting up to change positions, one of my legs started to cramp, lol. Jared has teased me a few times about that, but it's nothing I can change! lol. TMI alert?...While Brycen was coming out I could definitely tell he was bigger, it hurt! His head came out and I gave a couple small pushes to get the rest of him out. I could kind of hear the midwives say to slow down a little or something, but he wasn't waiting! He didn't shoot out like Keila did, but it was pretty close so I couldn't have helped it if I wanted. They didn't want me to try hard to get him out because the cord was kind of wrapped around his neck...when he was all the way out we saw how wrapped up he really was!! I don't think it was a true wrap around his neck because it wasn't tight or anything. PLUS it was wrapped around other body parts too!! It went up and around his neck then down and around his arm and then down around his leg. It was crazy! I don't think any of the wrap arounds were completely around the limbs or neck but I wasn't the one who unwrapped him.

He was born at 5:30am . I fed him and held him for a long time. Then Jared held him for a little bit and I went to try and use the bathroom. At that time they were about to weigh him and check him out (maybe an hour or so after he was born). We all were guessing what he would weigh. In hopes I was guessing that he would weigh 8lbs 1oz. Jared guessed something in the mid 7lbs area and the midwife who was helping me guessed somewhere in the 8lbs area. So the midwife yells from the other room (making sure we all guessed first) that he weighed 9lbs 2 oz!!! We were all really surprised because he looked bigger than Keila, but we didn't think he looked 9lbs big! Then we measured how long he was and it was 22 inches! I knew he would be longer than Keila because of how much space he took up in my belly. He is long and skinny, but has 'extra' skin to fill up with fat...lol. He has squishy cheeks though...the best part!!

He is doing great. He had a rough first week with Jaundice though and had to have his blood drawn twice to check levels. They were really high but luckily still in the normal range, so we just went out in the sun and fed him. He poops a lot like Keila did, so that helped get the yuckies out. He is sleeping pretty well...I wish he didn't make so many moises though! I think he wakes me up just making noises at night, but he's not fully awake yet. I remember Keila doing the same thing, but she slept in longer stretches at night. He also has periods of time during the day where he stays awake for an hour or more...Keila hardly ever did that, she just slept all the time.
Keila is also doing great. She seems to be groing up so fast since her 2nd birthday! She is kind of saying some sentences I think...like says something and then I wonder to myself if that's what she really said. When I was at the birthing center, and I called my mom to tell her she could come on over, I talked to Keila on the phone and I swear she said, "I miss you mama, I go bye bye" My mom said she heard it too. Then a couple days later she said, "I going bye bye." So it seems like she is starting to finally talk in sentences, but those are the only 2 times I have heard it. She always talks up a storm though but jsut not more than 2 words together. She loves coloring and playing with balls and she loves Brycen. She is doing really well with him and is really curious about what he is doing and wants to watch when I change his diaper. If I ask her about him while I am holding him, she will come over and ask to give him a hug and hold him and give him kisses. I have to remind her to be gentle though because she will grab his arm or leg or hand and squeeze or twist. I laid him on the floor today and she laid next to him and was giving him hugs on the floor...the hugs were more like a WWF wrestling pin though, lol. Today she has also come up to me when his blanket was unwrapped and helped me to wrap him up...putting each side of the blanket over him. It was very cute :) She finally has her 2 year appt on Tuesday. I waited so long to do it because I didn't know when Brycen would be here and I thought maybe I would do his 2 week appt at the same time. But he wont quite yet be 2 weeks then and also the midwives do that appt. He will see a pediatrician for his 2 month appt. I can't wait to hear how tall she is! I haven't weighed her for a little bit either. Last I checked she was 30lbs, but I think that was almost a month ago.

38 weeks

Holy cow! I didn't realize it had been so long since I had checked my blog...or other peoples blogs for that matter! Everything is going okay. The past month has been filled with trying to make sure the house is put together before the baby comes. Trying to get baby stuff out and ready. I don't remember if I had my baby shower by the last post, but I had it about a month ago as well, and I am so thankful for all the awesome boy things we got! In addition to the cute boy clothes people got for us, I was able to find some good deals at garage sales for clothes...for Keila too! So he is all set for clothes until he is about 6 months I think....or wearing 6 month clothes. After that I just have a few things for his wardrobe. I finished his paintings and hung them up. I need to take a picture of them though! He has been head down for a while and now is just venturing further down every day it seems. So that is uncomfortable! I only have about 11 days until my due date, and I thought a couple times that he might come by now. I don't really want him to come before Keila's birthday, but then at the same time I want him out now! Haha.

Keila's birthdis is next Wednesday and she will be 2! It is hard to believe that she is having another birthday. So much has happened since she turned 1! We are doing her party on Sunday which is also my brother's Birthday, so we will be singing happy birthday to him as well :) Oh and Jared's birthday is next Friday, so we will sing happy birthday to him too. So many birthdays within the next week!!! And we just get to add one more, fun stuff!

Keila is talking more, finding out how to fake things more and just being plain silly. I love seeing her brain try to work when I am telling her how to say something. She looks at me and has this look of, how am I going to say that too. Sometimes she repeats and sometimes she seems to ignore me, lol. I think she 'ignores' me because she can't repeat it. She is finally running more and more...or maybe galloping? lol. She just likes to take her time doing something until she can do it perfectly. Her hair is growing so fast as well. It is so crazy to look back at pictures from a year ago and then look at her now. She has nice thick hair as well. She is so mischevious and sneaky. I have to try and keep a close eye on her or she will sneak upstairs and get into something. She somehow got a hold of a marker today, I didn't even know we had that marker, and wrote on her pajamas, hands and a couple textbooks I had. I will have to ask Jared about the marker because I have no idea where she got it! Luckily she didn't write on any walls or the carpet!

Wow, Almost 33 weeks

So I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post! We are all doing great. The house is getting a little more done and organized with each week. Jared starts school in a little over a week :(. It will not be fun getting into the swing of things when he leaves back to work. Keila and Paislie are going to be so sad not to have him around!

Keila has been doing great. She is saying more words...maybe not in her everyday vocabulary, but definitely when we are reading books. She can go through one of her books and point to the pictures and say what they are. She has made some new friends with the only people we know who live here. She absolutely loves them and gets soo sad when they leave, it's pretty cute. This past week she has started getting a new tooth! Her first 2nd year molar started coming through on Monday! She has been chewing on her fingers for months and months and a tooth is finally coming up to show for it! She has been a little more cranky and whiny and crying and not sleeping well, but other than that she's okay, haha. No really, I've heard of worse cases so I know I have to count my partial blessings! I went to the store and got some teething stuff today, so maybe tomorrow I can tell if it's really helping or not. I have also been giving her some ibuprofen a little throughout the day.

Baby Boy is also doing great. He is definitely growing! I think he will be bigger than Keila was. As far as my last appt on Monday went, he was head down! He has been moving a little more the past few days...I think things are starting to get a little more cramped for him, so he is trying to find his comfy spot. His comfy spot is still in the same spot as when he was head up....on my right side in my ribs or pushing out anywhere. Keila moved around but not quite as much as him. But he doens't really move a whole lot either. Around lunch time and dinner/night time...which are times when I am sitting and relaxing so that's probably why. I can't believe there are only about 7 weeks left until I get to meet him! We still haven't decided on a name so that's frustrating.

I will try to keep more updated for the rest of the pregnancy!

28 weeks

So in the past month (I thought I posted a new update on here but I guess it didn't work) we have been very busy! Baby has been great. I haven't puked in forever! He is moving a lot and I can tell he's getting a lot bigger because the movements are getting more uncomfortable and stronger. We still haven't picked a name for him. We are in the debating stage, ugh.

Keila is doign great. She did amazingly well with the move and it's like we've been in this house forever. I think she likes all the different places she can go and get into. She likes playing on her slide outside and going to the park and swimming in her little pool that Jared's parents just got her while they were visiting. She is finally starting to move fast enough where I can say she is doing a jog/run. It is crazy that she will be 2 in a few months! She understands what we are saying and can kind of answer questions, and is starting to tell us exactly what she wants better. I love that she is growing up and is so smart! I hope everything continues to go well with her when #2 gets here! It is definitely going to be interesting!

23 weeks

Everything is going great. I threw up a couple times last week...not cool! I think it might have been from over-exerting myself while cleaning the house, but I'm not really sure. It could've just been my stomach not being happy with the enchilada I was eating. I think there has just been a couple weeks since finding out I was pregnant that I haven't puked at least once. It's pretty ridiculous if you ask me!! Haha. It's so crazy how different everything can be. It's not that I feel nauseas a lot anymore...just a couple weeks ago I had those few days that I felt nauseas a lot...but I will all of a sudden not feel well and need to puke. Ugh. On the brighter side, my hair has started to grow slower and hardly at all on my legs and arm pits! Haha, so that's kind of cool.

Keila is doing great. She likes to read her books all the time and then go through them and point things out and say the word...or try to anyway! It's very cute and surprising sometimes because she will try to say some pretty hard words. Of course most of the time it sounds nothing like it's supposed to, but she points to a picture and says something...it's so cute and awesome! The only thing that is annoying is...she has started to whine the past few weeks when she wants something. I try to talk to her and ask her what she wants and tell her she needs to use her words because I have no idea what she wants. So before I respond to her need, she has to tell me what she wants....which is usually me asking her if she wants a few different things and then she says yes. And then I have her ask nicely to which she signs please. Haha.

Acid Reflux?

I have felt a little nauseas a few days this past week. It didn't feel like I was coming down with a bug, but it felt like morning sickness all over again. Then I felt more like I was having heartburn or something. So I have taken tums the past couple days and it seems to be helping. I woke up from my sleep last night after burping or something (while sleeping) and it was so acidic and it burned so bad that it woke me up. Not cool.

Keila was not feeling well all last week, so this week she is re-adjusting this week. Ugh! It has been really exhausting! She is sleeping ok...crying whenever I put her down...but she is waking up around 2 or more hours earlier than usual. This morning she did a little better and woke up about 1.5 hours early. She is also wanting to eat ALL day long. And is obsessed with a certain kind of cereal I let her try...I think she will be sad when it is all gone, haha. She is also averaging 1 really annoying/loud screaming/crying tantrum each day this week. They start out by her getting mad when I don't give her more of something (ex: today she wanted to give Paislie another treat and I told her no and we were done with the treats), so then she starts whining and crying and screaming. I really don't know what to do, so I ignore her for a little while. Then I try to talk with her, but she doesn't want to hear what I am saying. After a long while, she wants me to hold her. So maybe by the time she wants me to hold her she has just worked herself into a frenzy and doesn't know why she was upset in the first place?

Baby boy is doing great. I was looking at my belly the other day and I could see it moving with his kicks and punches. Cool! He was also very active at bed time last night. If he continues that pattern, then I wont be able to fall asleep! He is so much more active than Keila ever was.

Almost 21 weeks

This past week has been not cool. Keila was sick with something...well something was making her not be able to keep food down. After an x-ray, it looked like she was constipated and had a lot of gas built up. Another possibility was that a bladder infection was causing her to sick, but I think it was the constipation and gas. She was finally able to poop yesterday, but it was just a little bit. She was still under the weather yesterday though. Today she has gone poop twice and has been able to keep all the food down she has eaten....which is a lot! She was pretty much starving all week and begging for food, but I couldn't give her very much or she was puking it up. Due to the constipation, the Dr told me to give her miralax so that was in her water yesterday and today. Today she has been playing and eating and pretty much back to normal. Yay!

Baby boy is doing good. He has moved up a little higher...well I am starting to feel him a little higher. He already pushes out and kind of lays there so I can feel his little body. So cool! He definitely likes my bladder/trampoline too. I will be 21 weeks on Sunday! Crazy!

As for Jared and I, Jared interviewed and was offered a Math job in Sisters. This was back on the 12th that he got the job. Last Saturday we drove to Redmond to look at houses. A friend of ours who lives in Redmond hooked us up with his realtor and we figured out what hosues we wanted to see before we actually went over. So we found one that we liked, and decided to go ahead and put an offer on it. It was accepted! We had the inspection done yesterday, and everything looked ok as far as all the major things. I can't believe everything happened so fast! Our house closes on June 18th, so we will be moving that weekend, so soon! Jared is really excited to move over there and be able to own a house again. He really loves central oregon and how much less it rains there. The city of Redmond has really grown, and where we will be living is nice. It's right next to a park and some schools. I am bummed because I am leaving my amazing midwife . I will get to see her one more time before we move over. :(

It's a Boy!

We had our ultrasound today and found out we are having a boy! I had started second-guessing my previous guess in the past week, but still thought it was going to be a girl. I am so excited to have a little boy. I am also excited to look for a boy name!! I know we would've had the hardest time looking for a girl name. Anyway, it's super late, but I wanted to put it on here and put a pic on here too. Even though I'm sure everyone has already seen it on Facebook. Yay!

19 weeks

I am feeling good. Feeling the baby all the time. It really moves around a lot! I am also more hungry and have started to need to pee all the time again. My belly is getting a little bigger. I have my ultrasound this week, so I am excited for that as well. This pregnancy has gone by so fast!

Keila is doing great also. I think she either just had a growth spurt or is going through one. She seems to be getting longer and skinnier...although her cheeks are still all chunk! She has added a couple more words to her vocabulary this past week and improved some other ones. Her hair is growing more and more, I can't wait to put it in a pony tail! It will be so cute!

Mother's Day was fun. We had brunch at my Aunt and Uncle's house with my dad's family...well not everyone was there, but it was still a lot of fun. It was nice outside while we were there, so Keila got to play on the deck and a little in the grass. She had a lot of fun! Then we went and saw my mom, and I took her out to dinner along with my brother. I didn't do a ton that day, but by the time I drove home I was exhausted! So was Keila. She didn't take her normal nap, but fell asleep for about an hour when we drove to where my mom was. I decided I needed to wake her up so she would go to bed okay, but she was really mad for being woken up. And she didn't fall asleep on the way home, but she was happy at least. She was out pretty darn fast when we got home though and slept until 7:30ish instead of 6:30ish.

Today would've been the day :(

That I would've found out the sex. It makes me sad! But only 6 more days until I can finally find out. Ugh, it would've been a cool Mother's Day gift to tell everyone that day...if I could wait, haha. Oh well, there are worse things in life! I don't know how people wait until the baby is born! It would be sooo hard to do. I extended the poll to guess whether it is a boy or girl to next week. But I don't think blogging is as popular as when I was having Keila becasue only 1 person has voted, and that is from today! Oh well, at least I will have all my blogging records for personal use. I want to print it out and save it for future reference. I guess it's my journal over this time in my life.

18 weeks

Well tomorrow anyway. Feeling the baby more and more. It's so fun! It kicked my bladder today...It's such a weird tingly feeling when it happens this early! Bummer news about the ultrasound. I had to reschedule it to the 13th because the ultrasound tech isn't going to be in the office anymore on the 7th. Ugh, how stupid! I could've done it earlier than the 13th, but then Jared wouldn't be able to go.

Keila still has a cold, it's getting really old and annoying and sad to hear her coughing. She acts normal though, no fever or anything, so it's definitely not slowing her down! She is saying more words and trying to copy me and saying things after I do. She also makes this face when she is trying to be cute or mad...well she does it a couple different ways, but it makes me crack up every time! She is definitely a funny girl.

17 weeks

Feeling great, but TIRED! I feel like I am supposed to be getting more energy, but it's just not there yet. Sometimes it is, so I start doing more around the house (cleaning and such) and then more energy than I am exerting gets used up so it leaves me really exhausted. I am really enjoying food again though and that's good :) My belly is growing, although most people don't even think I am pregnant...just like with Keila. I need to take another picture. I took one a couple weeks ago, so I need to make sure and get another one taken so this baby wont feel left out! Haha. We find out what we are having in 2 weeks...if the baby is cooperative that is. I think I will start a poll...if anyone reads this! My gut is telling me girl, so I am really interested to see what it is! I have been feeling little kicks for the past week or so, it's really fun.

Keila has been doing well. Her cough was almost gone and then she seems to have gotten a cold and the cough is back. I don't think it is in her lungs like it was before, but we have still been using the inhaler. I need to go to the store and get some sort of cold medicine to see if that will help. My next guess is that she might have allergies...Jared has allergies but they don't hit him until June. She is talking more and more...especially in her own little language. I love it. She is also getting more of an attitude each day, which I don't love. She is so even-keeled so when her attitude comes out it is really annoying to deal with! I know it would be anyway but ya know... I am also wondering if her cold is bringing it out more because this last week has been way more annoying than normal! It could also be the pregnancy making my fuse a lot shorter :)

16 weeks along

Okay, it's been forever since I posted anything! The last couple of weeks have consisted of me finally not being sick, babysitting a 6 month old, and well, being busy!! I am glad that I can actually eat because of being hungry and not just trying to hold off being sick!

Keila is talking so much right now! She has her little language, but is also saying a ton of real words too. She is almost running I think....she has started to walk so fast that just a little fast would be considered running.

Oh, she has been on an inhaler the past couple weeks because she had a nasty, flemmy cough that was affecting her lungs (she was wheezing). She had a cold a couple weeks before she got the cough, so I think it was residual from that. Luckily, we had her 18 month check up a couple days after the cough started so the Dr was able to check it out. We had to do a nebulizer treatment in the office...it was BAD!!! Keila threw the biggest fit ever! If I had someone else with me, it would've been a lot better. Then I could've held her arms down and the other person could've held the nebulizer thing in front of her mouth. She doesn't really like the inhaler either, but at least her whiny cry while doing the inhaler allows the meds to get in her lungs. She stops crying right after we are done with the inhaler, so at least I don't have to deal with a huge fit each time!

Keila did really great while I babysat last week. She was really good with the baby and tried to share everything and lay down with her on the floor. She wanted to play with all the baby things I got out as well. The only time she got upset was when I had to give the baby her bottle. I am hoping the next 6 months gets her a little more 'mature' and she can understand that I will have to feed her little brother or sister. :)

Pregnancy Brain and Dreams

Ugh, pregnancy brain has definitely set it. I remembered about my Dr appointment when I woke up this morning, and then about an hour after my appointment was supposed to be, I remembered about it again. It wasn't an important appointment...my midwife just wanted me to get a heartbeat check on the baby, but I had rescheduled it from wednesday to today earlier this week. Ugh. I hate missing appts!!! Especially after working in a Drs office. At least I probably helped them out a little. They are always running at least a little late, so maybe I made the midwife's day a little easier. Now I am going in on Monday. I really am not worried about anything with the heartbeat, but my midwife couldn't find it at 10 weeks, so she didn't want to wait until my next appt at 14 weeks. I told her I have a tilted uterus and it took a long time to hear Keila's last time, but she still wanted me to have the appt. Oh well.

My dreams have also been weird lately. Just about every night I wake up after a weird dream...sometimes I have 2! I am also already waking up once a night to go pee! I don't remember having to do this until later when I was pregnant with Keila. Fun stuff!!

Keila went to the beach for the first time yesterday...it was cold and windy, but she loved it. She loves being outside period. I can't wait to go back when it is nicer and let her play some more. She had sand on her hand and kept wiping it off on her shirt, and then at some point put a finger tip in her mouth. Haha, I guess she has to figure out what tastes good and what doesn't! I don't think she got to much sand in there though, I told her to stop while she was putting it in her mouth, so she didn't get it in her mouth that far. I need to get some of her pictures on here...someday!

Feeling better!

The last couple of days have been pretty good. I am still feeling a little queasy at night and if I don't eat much during the day (like right now), but I have more energy and feel like I am just about to the level part of the downhill! I am so thankful and glad that I feel this way so early! With Keila I felt sick until 13-14 weeks. I am 12 weeks along tomorrow, so if I continue to feel great I will be extactic!

Keila is doing really great too. She is starting to say a few more words and LOVES being outside. I really want to get her a little slide to play with outside, but I still haven't bought one...they can be spendy! I looked on craigslist a couple weeks ago, so maybe I should look again. Keila's cute thing the past week or so has been the acknowlegment of bedtime and saying Night Night to Jared and Paislie before we go upstairs. There has even been a few times (during the day and at night) where she has looked very tired and then says Night night as if she would like to go to bed. A little over a week and she is 18 months! Only 6 more months until she is 2...crazy stuff!! Oh, that also means about 6 months until the baby is born!

Forgetful

I have forgotten about my blog lately! I don't know why. Keila isn't really doing any new stuff right now, other than getting stronger! She always wants to get upf (how she says it) and now if we don't let her up she tries to crawl up...usually unsuccessfully. She is sleeping about an hour less at night...over the past month or so she has cut a total of 2 hours during the night. I am thinking of just letting her have one nape during the day to see if she will start sleeping more at night...I want more sleep!

I am almost 11 weeks along with this pregnancy. Still pretty nauseas and puking once in a while. I am hoping it goes away within the next few weeks like it did last time. The midwife I am seeing tried to hear the heartbeat with the doppler at my appointment on Wednesday, but she couldn't find it. I already told her I had a tilted uterus and my Dr last time couldn't hear the heartbeat until 12 weeks, but she still tried to look for it. When she couldn't find it she decided to have me come in either next week or the week after...I decided 2 weeks out would be fine because I will be 12 weeks then. I find it kind of funny how calm and fine I was that she couldn't find the heartbeat, last time I would've been worried! Haha, I guess knowing about what happened last pregnancy, I know it is a lot harder to find the heartbeat for my little guys! My Dr tried at 11 weeks with Keila when I was really sick with the flu and 'morning sickness', so she had me get an ultrasound and obviously the baby was fine. Then she checked for the heartbeat again at 12 weeks when I went in for a follow up and found it perfectly fine.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling!

What to do now...

Basketball is over for my team; however, I am still helping with the Varsity team until they are done. They have a game tonight and if they win there is another game on Friday. If they win that game, they are in the State Tourney next weekend. It would be a lot of fun if the girls were able to go to the State Tourney again.

Keila is doing well, the tooth that has been poking through for what seems like forever is now really coming in. She is hating it, but I am glad this is the last one until her 2 year old molars come in. She was so tired, but in pain last night and kept screaming when we put her to bed. A normal night consists of immediate quiet and going to sleep when we put her to bed, so I know her mouth doesn't feel too good.

She is starting to slip her feet into my shoes and walk in them around the house...usually it is only one foot and shoe at a time. She has been saying Uh-Oh for a few weeks now, and says it whenever she drops something, the TV turns off accidentally, and when music stops playing...among other times. She is still saying Hi to everyone one we see and to the dogs all the time. She is finally saying Bye again as well. She is also still saying her baby babble all the time, and even walks around with my phone and pretends talking to someone. Everyday she is starting to do something else...not like it has stopped since she was born, but it is still equally as awesome.

How you doin'?

We are good. Keila is becoming a chatter box with her own language, and I am just nauseas. I am eating about every 2 hours...or trying to at least. So far I think it is helping. We all had a form of the stomach flu last week...that was no fun! It affected Keila a lot more than Jared and I, but we all are doing fine now. I had my first Doctor appointment on Thursday. The baby was measuring 3 days ahead of the estimated due date...which any due date is always estimated anyway. So I think my midwife is changing the due date to the 3rd instead of the 6th. Oh, that's another thing I have decided to do a little differently this time...use a midwife. I had seen a midwife at my Doctors office before when I couldn't get into my regular Doctor last minute, and I really liked her. I also really liked my Doctor too, but decided that I would go with a midwife this time. I think it will be nice to have that support and everything during labor and delivery instead of the Dr coming in just for delivery. My midwife is also a certified Doula, so that will be nice.

Ok, more about Keila. Like I said she is starting to talk a lot more with her own little sounds and words. She is also showing some interesting attitude...I think it is left over from when she wasn't feeling well, but we will see how it ends up. She is still her happy self, but sometimes she gets very upset when she doesn't get to do what she wants...she lets you know how she feels!! She also loves her Papa (my dad). He was just here last night and today...she hears his name and starts giggling. It is very cute. I also watch some of the baby shows on TLC once in a while, and Keila says 'Baby' (sounds more like Bebe) when she hears the crying of the little newborns. I think she has just heard me tell her about babies when we see them and when she hears them and is starting to associate crying with the word Baby. I don't know. She also loves her Doo gees...as she calls them. Very cute.

The only news I have...

is that I'm pregnant! I am just about 6 weeks along, so still in the very beginning stages. I told most everyone around this time period when I was pregnant with Kiela, so I thought I would let you all know now too! We are very excited! I am doing okay, just so hungry all the time, and if I don't eat then I get a little nauseas. I have had some sort of cold this past week, which hasn't been fun. I am due October 6th, really close to Keila's Birthday!! I guess we will be doing combo parties from here on out.

Keila has been doing pretty well lately. Talking a whole bunch more. Saying 'Hi' to everything when she wakes up in the morning. Her tooth is still bothering her, but it's not as bad. She is starting to not want to cuddle before bedtime...so sad. She used to lay on me for a couple minutes after story time and the lights go out...now she just wants to be let go, so I just put her down in her crib and she goes to sleep. It's good though, I was wondering how long I would be doing that and treating her more like a baby than a toddler. She loves to sit on my lap for other things, so I know I will still get that cuddling somehow!

Oh, here's the shirt I made for Keila to wear to tell Jared!

So Tired!

I have been so tired lately! Keila is still not back to her normal self with her tooth coming in. I have taken in a dog that my friend was getting rid of. I knew that it was either me taking it, or a crazy lady taking her. So I opted for me. I don't think we will be able to keep her for very long, but I have a handful of very good people who would love to have her. Paislie is very jealous because the dog is tiny and can sit on my lap. It will be fun to have her around for a little while though. Keila loves her and tries to hug her...which freaks the dog out a little, but she still gives Keila kisses. Her name is Jersey, and she is so cute!

Another tooth and more

Keila's #15 tooth (bottom left eye tooth) broke through a couple days ago. I can tell it irritates her through the day, but she has been pretty well when it comes to sleeping. I am definitely thankful for that! I know this tooth will continue to give her some problems for at least a couple more weeks. The top two seemed to give her trouble for a lot longer than normal. I'm sure it's because they come in so slowly and get bigger the more they come down. I am glad though that there is only one more left until her 2 year-old molars come in. Hopefully she and I get a nice little break from teething for those.

She is also being really cute with new words. I can't really remember what I said in my last post, but right now she has added 'up' to her vocabulary. I still hear her say 'thank you' sometimes, and I think she tried to say 'yes' this morning. Today she said 'ya-yey' (daddy with y's instead of d's) or something like that a couple of times when I was talking to her about Jared. So, I am wondering if she is trying to say Daddy instead of just Dada. I don't know why she couldn't just say Daddy though, she makes the D sound all the time. Maybe we will find out soon what she is talking about. She also started saying 'Papa' this weekend. Sometimes it comes out as 'Bapa' or 'baba'. When we were going over to my dad's house this weekend, I told her we were going to go see Papa, and she repeated :) Then when she saw him she smiled and said it again. She even started saying his name today and was looking around for him. That was so cute!

When she reads her books she is starting to babble like she is reading them herself. I love it! With reading books she uses B sounds...which she normally doesn't use. So I wonder if she hears the words book/s and is trying to talk like that or something. All I know is that it is cute.

Ok, so everything she does is cute, what can I say??!!

Talking

Keila is trying to talk in her own language so much lately. It's really cute :) She is also not signing as much lately...I'm not really sure why. Maybe it is because she is working on trying to say words with her mouth more now? It sounded like she said 'Thank you' today right after I gave her a cup of milk. I didn't even prompt her to say it. But, it was probably just a fluke.

She loves Jared so much. Everytime she sits with him she lays on his chest or lays next to him on the couch. She loves sitting with him and cuddling. She gets a big huge smile on her face when I tell her "Daddy's coming home" (Paislie gets excited too, haha). The past couple mornings when I go in and get her out of her crib, she has backed away from me, sat down, and said Dada. It was very cute! Of course when I pick her up, she just wants me to hold her and play with her.

She is also trying to run within the past week or so....or at least is walking so fast she is almost falling over. There is a big spring in her step some of the times though, so it looks like almost running.

Growing up is so fun!

I'm Lazy or something...

SO I haven't even thought about my blog for the past week. Before that, I was thinking about it but not posting. I must just be lazy or something! Jared and I have been busy coaching basketball and Keila is busy playing! She is walking all over the place and trying to run...at least that's what it looks like! She moves so fast she trips and falls.

She has been saying 'cheese' lately, when she smiles for the camera and when she is eating cheese. She is also starting to make some funny faces and just being a ham.

I have had a cold for about the past week or so, and I sadly passed it on to Keila. On top of that, I can't find the aspirator to help get her boogers out. I hate hearing her cough and have a plugged up nose. It's so sad. I am just glad it's nothing more than a cold. No fever or anything.

Here's some pics from the last week or so.

Happy New Year!

It's 2010 and it seems a little weird to be saying that. So much has happened in the last decade! To think what the next decade will bring is strange and amazing. I hope and pray that this year will bring many blessings and adventures to our lives and everyone else's. Have a great year everyone!
