Well this is week 18 of my pregnancy. Not much going on though. I feel better, nausea has gone away. My cold is just about gone...there seems to be just a little mucus staying behind, but not too bad. I stopped taking the antibiotics early because one of the side effects was diarrhea and lets just say I didn't have a good couple of days over the weekend. I am starting to look at a few items for the baby...I haven't really done a lot of that because we are moving and well, broke. I do know what crib and dresser I like though, so I know how much we need to save up. Not too much going on with the pregnancy though. It is nice not to feel sick though!
Jared and I are graduating on May 10th. If we weren't able to send you an announcement, we are sorry! They are really expensive! But...everyone is welcome to come. You don't need a ticket or anything. It is at the Morse Event Center on West 11th Street...which is on NCC's campus. I am pretty sure that we will have a BBQ at our house afterwards. Our house will be clean by then :)!
About our house, we will be putting it on the market right around graduation time. So that is why everything will be clean! We need to call up a few places to help us sell it...for marketing purposes or we would sell it by owner. We are putting in wood floors in the kitchen (this weekend I think) and finishing painting some rooms in our house plus the front door. We still need to go buy some plants for the yard and more bark, but that will probably happen next week.
Next on this list is Paislie...to keep or not to keep? That is a huge question right now. She will someday be a good dog...hopefully. She needs more attention and exercise than we can give her, so should we try and find a family that can give that to her? I think so. I don't have a lot of energy to take her for walks, and Jared usually doesn't want to do it either. I am also worried about what will happen when the baby comes. She is a handful around new people and kids, so I don't think she will be good around a baby...maybe in a couple years.
Don't forget to vote on the baby's gender!

17 Weeks and Jared has a job!
Well, the past week has been good! I feel much better. Almost back to normal! The only bad thing is that I have had a cold. I had a Doctor appt a couple of days ago and she prescribed me some medicine to take...yay because it has helped! I have also gotten a little bigger in the past week, good because the baby is growing, bad because my muscles and ligaments are stretching more. I had an ultrasound last weekend, I will need to post those pictures soon. The baby was measuring acurately and moving around a lot! It was giving the techs a very hard time, especially since they were all being trained. Oh well, good experience for them to get an active baby. I made an appt for my next ultrasound when I saw my Doctor this week. So we will find out the sex of the baby on May 15th. I think I will go ahead and start a poll where you all can vote on what gender you think the baby is. It will be open until May 15th when we find out.
Other news from a few days ago...Jared was offered a job and accepted! He still has a couple of things to do...the superintendent has to approve him to be hired, and he has to graduate and receive his teaching license. He will definitely be graduating and getting his license, so we really have nothing to worry about. He will be working as a 7/8th grade math teacher at the middle school in Molalla. We have already been working on fixing some things around our house to try and get ready to sell this summer. I think we will try to get it on the market within the next month. Something I wouldn't think we would do is buy a condo, but we might end up doing that if we move up there. They are actually bigger than our house, so that is cool. Also, the cost is a lot less..164,900...so we would be able to put enough money down from the selling of our house and only owe around 140,000! That would be awesome to help with mortgage payments. Most everything else is too expensive to buy right now because I won't be working right away and we will only have Jared's income. If I were going to find a job and work along with Jared, we could definitely afford something else, but oh well. So we are thinking we will see how they look and see if we like them, and then in 2 years find something else because I expect to be working by January and from then on. You guys probably don't care about those details...

Almost 16 weeks
Well, Tomorrow I will be 16 weeks...It doesn't seem like it though. Time just goes by so fast. Last night(this morning) I woke up at 5:00am and couldn't go back to sleep...If I did I was in the lightest sleep ever! I rolled onto my belly...trying to fall asleep...and I felt a flutter and poke...am I crazy or could it have been the baby?! I don't know what else it could've been. This morning really sucked though, I didn't get that much sleep, and I was really tired! So I stayed in bed to get some more rest, and I think I finally fell back to sleep after a couple of hours.
Let's see, what else is going on? Well, Jared has another interview this week with a school in the Salem/Portland area. He also had another school district tell him yesterday that they are very very interested in him...Hopefully he will have a job lined up for next year in the next few weeks!
I'm having another ultrasound this weekend, so I should be able to put some more pics up after that. I am excited to see the baby again!

Graduation
Jared and I are graduating in a month!!! Yay for us! It is crazy to think that we will be all done with NCC and going on to different things. The only yucky thing is that I am not done taking classes to get my endorsement. That means, I am taking 2 classes right now at 2 different schools, and then when those are done, I will take 2 more classes to finish up everything. I will be done by mid-summer. So I guess that's not too bad. I am taking one class at Lane and one online right now, and the last 2 I need to take will also be online. Jared is also starting his Master's Degree in the beginning on June. Good for him! He found a good program online and will be getting his degree from a school in Louisiana. Funny, huh? It is soooo much cheaper to get a Master's degree online. Also, by starting early he should be a step higher on the pay scale by next school year. I think he should be done with the degree in 2 years or so. I am not sure when I will start trying to get my Master's. I would much rather go to a college and take classes in a classroom. I am not that great on managing time with online courses, so I don't think I could do it for multiple years. It all depends on where we move I guess.
Anyway, May 10th is graduation. Anyone can come. It's at NCC. I have no idea what time or anything. I guess I just care that I will be done (for the most part) with college, and that I will have a degree!

15 Weeks
So tomorrow marks 15 weeks. Crazy! I am doing pretty well. Yesterday and so far today I have had an upset stomach, but I don't know what to do. It is a different feeling than I had during the worst part of the 'morning sickness'. I can tell that the baby is getting bigger because my belly is. It seems to have expanded within the past few days out of nowhere...well okay maybe nowhere...I knew it would get bigger.
Nobody wants to play the guessing game with me I guess...I only had one person respond to last weeks post. I don't remember if I said what Jared and I guessed when I first found out. I don't know if it has stayed the same, but at the beginning Jared thought I would have a girl and I guessed boy. Last week Jessica guessed boy. So I guess that means 2 for boy and 1 for girl.
I do know that we have some friends from school who are also pregnant and they just found out yesterday that they are having a girl! Yay for them! They have no idea what they are going to name her...they didn't really think of any girl names because they already have a daughter and loved that name. They had their boy name picked out, but now they are thinking of girl names again! Also, I just found out yesterday that my cousin and his wife found out they are having a girl as well! They found out a couple weeks ago I think. I wonder what names they are thinking of. So out of the 5 people I know who are prego right now (I make #6), 2 are girls. If I am having a boy, at least I get to buy someone cute dresses!
I am getting a free ultrasound on the 19th. I am thinking I might be able to find out the sex of the baby at that ultrasound because I will be 16 1/2 weeks along. They should be able to see the organs at 15 weeks, so I will ask about that when I get it done. I will also have to talk to Jared to see if he would care if I found out if he wasn't there. He won't be able to go with me because it is in Lebanon and he works on Saturdays. If he didn't care, I could come up with a cute way to let him know what is is when I get home. Hmm...I guess we will just have to wait and see!

14 Weeks
Well, I am officially starting my 4th month being pregnant. I am still feeling a little sick here and there. It is hard to say why I am still getting sick...The only thing I can think of is the amount of food I am eating. I try to snack all day and make sure I am eating enough, but sometimes I forget to eat. I think it is these times when I feel the worst and have to run to the bathroom. Good thing is that I am not puking everyday. So far, in the past week, I have only puked 4-5 times. I would say that is pretty good. I just wish that I could have that satisfied feeling back in my stomach. I get it once in a while, but not as often as I would like. I am at least feeling well enough to go out into the world and do normal things. I am getting sick and tired of a lot of food because I have been eating them to make sure I can actually keep it down. It is all boring food. I wish I could just eat whatever and not feel sick afterwards. I need to start posting some pictures because my belly is starting to expand...just a little bit but it is.
It would be fun to have everyone post what their predictions are for the gender of the baby. So if you read my blog, take a guess and leave a comment!
