What's new?
Keila is starting to shake her head like she is saying 'no' and she is sticking her tongue out. It is really cute. She is also smiling even more than before, and has a kind of small laugh that she does. She still doesn't laugh heartily very much. She is eating more types of food and I'm trying to get her to drink out of her sippy cup. She is still trying to get the hang of it, but will hopefully start drinking more regularly out of it. She is also starting to show her frustration with things and wants to go after everything. And she tries to talk a lot more!
It has been a really long time since I have blogged. I don't know why I don't blog more often...I get on here almost everyday and look at other peoples blogs to see if there is anything new.

Easter
Easter was a lot of fun. We spent the day with my family and ate really good food. It is an awesome feeling knowing that God loves me, and everyone else, enough to die for my sins. It bothers me to know that we celebrate religious holidays and take away all of the meaning. I thought most of this country didn't believe in God or go to church... Isn't it interesting that they will still celebrate the holiday, even if it is just the commercial part of it?
Oh and I fixed my comment thing...I was just told it wasn't working!

Whew...
I mean Pee-Eww!!! Keila has pooped 4 times in the past 24 hours and it stinks! It is really disgusting and thick...no wonder it wasn't coming out! She had to work really hard to get it out! Does anyone want to come change her diapers? Haha.
Does anyone even read this anymore? Maybe not now that I've been talking about poop... :)

Pooping or lack there of....
Keila hasn't pooped for the past couple days. She has been on solids for the past couple weeks and started pooping a little less since then. I think this has caused her to be a little more cranky and wanting more cuddly attention. While I love cuddling with her, she was just starting to get a TON better at playing by herself with her toys on the floor or sitting in her bouncy thing. Her poop really stinks now, so I am not missing that part, but I know she is probably getting frustrated or something. I gave her prune juice with her food today, and she pooped a tiny tiny bit. Her belly isn't hard, so I know I shouldn't be too worried yet. I think I might call my Dr's office tomorrow just to make sure it's ok and to see if there is anything else I can try...if she still hasn't pooped by noon.
On a good note, she is eating foods really well and doesn't really spit them out. It is fun knowing that she can eat foods and do well with them. Now, I just need to start seeing if she will take formula for when I need her to be babysat...silly phrase. Maybe I will test a formula/rice cereal mixture to get her used to the taste and then try it in a bottle. I don't know what would be good.

6 Month Appointment....and sleeping problems
So Keila had her Doctor appointment yesterday. She is measuring in the 75th percentile for her weight and height still, so that is good. Her head is still in the 55th percentile, so yet again, that is good. She is 26.5 inches long, 17lbs 7.8oz, and her head is about 17 inches around.
She is almost done with all of her shots that she needs until she is a year old. I have been doing a delayed vaccination route...so that means she only gets 2 at a time every month. Instead of 4 or 5 every other month. I have also chosen not to do any combo vaccines...where they combinemore than one vaccine into one (like combining chickenpox with MMR, called ProQuad). Sometimes they will combine just two shots and sometimes 3. These are the shots that some studies say can trigger autism. I have read a tiny bit about them and just don't like the added stuff (i.e. mercury levels) that some of them have. So she goes in for her last 2 next month until she is a year old. How exciting! She actually does really well with shots...well atleast I think so. I try to distract her with a toy. I don't know if it really helps or not, but she doesn't cry very much, and last month didn't really cry at all.
Other good news is that she has started eating cereal, and I will be starting a veggie possibly Sunday. She does really well while eating, and thinks it must be pretty cool because she smiles and laughs at me while I am trying to feed her. It only makes me laugh because it is usually right after I give her a bite, so it all comes out of her mouth.
I can't believe she is 6 months old!
